Can you lose maturity on ADHD medication?

I want to know if you can lose maturity on ADHD pills if you haven't been on them for over 5 years. when I was on them, I was an immature little brat, and then I went through a few transformations and became more mature and weaned myself off the pills, against my doctors orders, and now I'm beggining to think it was a bad move, as i may be more mature, and i'm a lot more likeable in school and stuff, but my grades are suffering a little. but if i go back on the pills, will they change my personality?Don't be like avery, and give me an answer not related to the question

most pills are 'behavior modifiers' which will change your personality. i took medication for my ADHD for three years, took all kinds of different pills, and it didn't help my grades, it just made me a zombie. get some internal motivation to help with the grades. ask people for help. do your homework. if you don't want to take the pills, don't let anyone tell you you have to. its your body, and the decision is yours to make. talk it over with someone other than your doctor, to get a second opinion, and then do what you think is best.

adhd meds dont change your personality. i have been on them for 15 years on and off and they only help

You should be very proud of yourself for being perceptive and realizing the little child you were and the work that you put into becoming the mature kid that you are now. Medications for ADHD will not effect your maturity or your personality. They can help you with every area of your life by allowing you to concentrate on the things that you need to. Good decision to go back to them!
