Best way to burp a baby?

My 8 month old has always been impossible to burp. I like to make sure she is properly burped after her milk before she goes down, so she has a comfortable sleep. It can take so long though, she sometimes ends up falling asleep on me and then I've got no chance! The only times burping is a bit easier is when I put Detinox (colic drops) in her milk. However I am wary of giving these in every feed so i only put them in her feed before bed. Otherwise, I rub and pat her back, bounce her, rock her, move her from side to side, push the wind up her back with the palm of my hand, hold her chin up, lay her flat for a few moments etc. Nothing seems to work!

After she finish her milk put her sitting straight on your lap with your left arm holding her body and the right hand tab on her back constantly until she burp. Not too light and not too hard when tab on her back. Do it even she sleeps. It is traditionally being used by my mum, auntie, grandmother and cousins. I remember watching the baby burp always once or twice. Wish it works on your baby.

At about that age, knowing that we know they need burping and they want to fall asleep on your shoulder while they should be burping, I would keep patting her on her back while you hold her against you, she will burp if she needs too, and after a few minutes if she isnt burping, lay her down and let her sleep as long as she comfortable, Most babies that won't finish burping will burp shortly after getting up from a nap(durning the day) and just keep your routine at night with her with the drops so that you and her both get a comfie night sleep :-)
